French Art Nouveau Silver & Gilt Box- (c. 1890)

A delicate Art Nouveau silver box bathed in soft gilding, its lid alive with a classical woman and cherub beneath blossoming branches — the eternal dance of spring and renewal. Hand-chased in relief, the figures appear to float in light, framed by a sculpted floral border that mirrors the era’s devotion to nature and sensual line.

Inside, a second gilded vignette of two cherubs glows like a secret, revealing the maker’s love for ornament and storytelling. Crafted in France around 1890–1900, this miniature work of art unites the refinement of the Belle Époque with the dreamlike spirit of Art Nouveau.
