A magnificent Edwardian cigarette case, crafted in solid sterling silver and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1903.
The surface is entirely hand-engraved with swirling foliate motifs and framed in fine chased detail, its cartouche left blank. Inside, the warm gold-washed interior glows softly, a sign of luxury reserved for true gentlemen’s accessories of the Belle Époque.
The maker’s mark A & B W D confirms its origin from the distinguished silversmiths A. & B. Wood Ltd., known for their refined precision and aristocratic taste.
