A stunning rectangular silver cigarette case with exquisite niello floral and foliate patterns on a blackened silver ground. The lid is diagonally divided with ornate scrolling leaves and a heraldic cartouche featuring hand-engraved initials, typical of Russian craftsmanship from the late 19th century.

The interior shows a warm, gilded tone and retains the original elastic strap. Both inner panels bear clear hallmarks including “900” silver purity and an unidentified maker’s mark.

This case exemplifies the elegance of Imperial-era silverwork — refined, masculine yet richly decorative — likely produced in Russia or possibly Central Europe (Warsaw or Vienna workshops) during the late 1800s.

Condition: Beautiful antique patina with gentle wear consistent with age. The niello surface is remarkably well preserved with only light edge fading.
