A couture masterwork by costume jewelry designer Lawrence Vrba, crafted in aged, antique gold-toned metal, the brooch centers around a bold Maltese cross design, adorned with a medley of cabochon and faceted glass stones in imperial hues: ruby red, deep emerald green, rich garnet, and onyx black, each one surrounded by dazzling crystal rhinestones.
From the central cross extend three sumptuous dangles, one large magenta oval cabochon, flanked by dramatic teardrop stones rimmed in icy white rhinestones, adding movement and regality. The top half is a sculptural crown-like formation set with oversized burgundy and forest green stones, giving the entire piece a towering architectural presence.
The reverse is equally ornate: engraved with intricate scrollwork, starburst engravings, and an openwork structure that reveals Vrba’s signature craftsmanship. The piece fastens securely with a horizontal pinback, designed to anchor its majestic weight.
