An exquisite Russian silver cigarette case from the late 19th to early 20th century, beautifully crafted in niello with intricate floral engravings across both sides.

The case features a central round cartouche, ideal for personal engraving, and retains its original gilt interior, softly aged to a warm patina.

Marked “84” for Russian silver purity and with assayer and maker’s marks visible inside. The artistry of the niello work — the delicate vines and blossoms set against the darkened ground — captures the romantic aesthetic of Imperial Russia.

Despite its compact shape, the case feels substantial in hand and exudes quiet opulence. It can serve as a statement collector’s piece, or as an elegant business card holder or mini clutch today.
